CloudCore VPSから上位プランがリリースされたので使ってみた。(ついでに、UnixBenchも計測)

KDDI CPIのVPS ( CloudCore ( クラウドコア ) VPS ) は、2017年6月をもって販売終了いたしました。本記事は、一つの参考として残しておきます。ご了解の上、閲覧いただけますようお願いいたします。

CloudCore VPSから上位プランがリリースということで、さくらのVPSとお名前.com VPS と比較してみるでも紹介したようにCloudCore VPSから上位プランがリリースされました。とりあえず、お試しでわかったことをちょっとだけ書いてみます。

CloudCore VPSから上位プランでわかったこと

お試しできるのは下位プランだけ

残念ながら、お試し期間10日間が設定してあるのは、以前からある 2048 プランと今回新規追加されたプランの最下位プランである CV01(CPU2コア,メモリ2G) プランの２つだけです。

キャンペーンは無さそう

残念ながら、上位プランリリースキャンペーンみたいなのは、無さそうです。（今のところ、・・・ですが、是非、やってもらいたいものですね。）

相変わらずリソースモニターは使えない

残念ながら、相変わらずリソースモニターは使えないようです。
Coming Soon からかれこれ1年以上、・・・・ですね。ちょっと、残念です。

上位プランでは、CPUがIntel製のようだ

VPSのクライアント側からは、CPUがIntel製のように見えます。

2048プランがAMDだったことからすれば、AMDじゃないのが、ちょっと不思議な感じもしないでもないですね。
ただ、さすがにKDDIさんですから、AMD製をあえてIntel製に見せるようなことはしないと思いますから、モデル名は別にしても、この情報がほぼそのまま正しいとすれば、さくらのVPSよりちょっと良くて、お名前.com VPSよりちょっと悪いというところのようです。

UnixBenchでは、さくらのVPSとほぼ互角か

UnixBenchの各値の傾向は、お名前.com VPSに似てます。
1コアでの出力が大きく、2コアでのパフォーマンスが落ちる・・・という感じです。
さくらのVPSは、逆で1コアでのパフォーマンスは抑えられていて、2コアでのパフォーマンスは、1コアの倍以上という感じの設定になっています。

ただ、全体的な数値は、さくらのVPSの1Gプラン(CPU仮想2コア)とほぼ互角か、若干、上のようです。

先に詳しいパフォーマンスの出力を載せておきます。
その後は、さくらのVPS、お名前.com VPS、CloudCore VPSのUnixBenchの比較を行っています。
比較元のデータは、さくらのVPSの1Gプランとお名前.com VPS(KVM) 1GプランのUnixBench を実施して計測し、比較してみました。の記事によります。

ここからもお名前.com VPSは、UnixBenchにおいては、かなり意識しているのか、良い結果を得ています。
1コアでは、お名前.com VPSとCloudCore VPSで差がほとんどないのに対して、2コアでは、グッと離されているのも興味深いです。
逆に、1コアでは、さくらのVPSとCloudCore VPSで差が結構あるのに対して、2コアでは、ほとんど差が無くなっている点も興味深いです。
全体的なスコアからすれば、あくまで、UnixBenchのみ評価ですが、グラフのとおりCloudCore VPSとさくらのVPSでは、ほとんど差がないのかなぁというところです。

ざっくり、CloudCore VPSの上位プラン(CV01)を使った感触を書いてみました。
CloudCore VPSのCPUの仮想2コアのパワーが、2048プランがAMDだっただけに気になっていましたが、他社のUnixBenchと遜色ないようです。

CloudCore VPSがメモリ量に特徴があるだけに、このことから、あとは、そのメモリの特徴をどう生かすか・・・ですね。

メモリ不足にお悩みの方には、おすすめなレンタルサーバーだと思います。

ただ、ねらい目は CV02 (CPU仮想3コア、メモリ6GB) ですね。他社の4Gプランからすれば、かなり割安です。
